Body Wash Refill Spout Pouch Sampling Project

An anonymous body-wash refill project covering offset spouts, pouch stability, material options, shower-use durability, and filling compatibility testing.

Project brief

A personal-care brand was evaluating a refill pouch for approximately 250-300 mL of body wash. The brand wanted to start with blank samples before committing to custom printing so its manufacturer could test the formula, filling process, dispensing, and overall usability.

Project challenge

The pouch needed a premium hand feel, reliable standing stability, clean dispensing, and durability for repeated handling in a shower environment. The team also wanted to explore an offset corner spout, rounded corners, suitable headspace, and a possible reinforced side hole.

Packaging approach

  • Matte laminated spout-pouch direction
  • Offset or corner-spout evaluation
  • Spout-diameter and cap-style review
  • Bottom-gusset and filled-pouch stability assessment
  • Conventional barrier and recyclable or mono-material paths considered separately
  • Existing sample pack used before a fully custom sample round

Validation points

The customer planned to test the samples with its manufacturer before finalizing dimensions, structure, spout configuration, artwork, or production. Any hanging hole or accessory feature would need filled-weight and tear-resistance testing before approval.

Outcome

A paid sample program was initiated to compare materials, pouch construction, spout styles, print quality, matte finish, and hand feel. The next decision point is manufacturer compatibility testing, not an immediate production claim.
